With over 48 years of experience Lynch Brothers is a leader in manufacturing aerospace sheet metal components and assemblies. We fabricate complex components and assemblies in our sheet metal department, incorporating machined parts and welding into the assemblies when required.

Tube Bending

An area of specialty for Lynch Brothers is the manufacturing of close tolerance tubing assemblies. We are renowned in the aerospace industry for precision tube bending and welding of all aerospace materials up to 2” diameter.

Critical welded tubing assemblies are completely tested for conformance to rigorous specifications on test fixtures that we design.

By designing and controlling all of the process steps in making these tubing assemblies, and our experienced craftsmen, we ensure exceptional quality and on time delivery every time.

Precision CNC Machining

Lynch Brothers operates a precision CNC machining department engineered to support tight-tolerance aerospace, defense, and industrial components. Our machining processes are designed for dimensional accuracy, repeatability, and stable performance from first article through production.

We utilize advanced CNC lathes with bar-feeding systems and 3-, 4-, and 5-axis vertical and horizontal machining centers, enabling complex geometries and multi-operation components. Palletized setups and repeatable tooling strategies support efficient production while maintaining strict tolerance control.

Our experienced machinists, programmers, and engineers routinely machine aluminum, stainless steels, titanium, nickel-based alloys, brass, bronze, and advanced materials including Monel®, Hastelloy®, Inconel®, and TZM. Integrated process control and inspection planning ensure consistent quality, surface finish, and on-time delivery for mission-critical applications.

Aluminum Heat Treating

Heat treating aerospace aluminum components properly requires unique attention. At our Nadcap accredited facility in Phoenix, we have enhanced our ability to better serve our customers by adding this capability.

We use a computer controlled Delta H Technologies model DCAHT® dual chamber oven system.

This system is designed to perform a wide variety of aerospace aluminum heat treating applications; solution heat-treating, annealing, and aging (precipitation hardening).

We also use a computer controlled TRU-BLUE II® Rockwell Hardness Tester.

Moving these processes in house we are able to significantly reduce our delivery times of heat treated aluminum components for our existing customers and offer a new standard for delivery in the industry. Our dual chamber oven system has a chamber size of: 24″ wide by 16″ tall by 48″ deep.

Lynch Brothers operates a fully qualified aerospace welding and brazing department engineered to meet the performance, repeatability, and compliance requirements of mission-critical applications. Our welding operations are built around controlled processes, robust work holding, and data-driven validation to ensure consistent results across prototype and production programs.

Program success is supported by our in-house tooling and fixture design team, capable of developing custom welding and brazing fixtures for both simple assemblies and complex, multi-component structures. This internal capability allows us to control joint fit-up, heat input, distortion, and repeatability key variables in high-reliability aerospace manufacturing.

Our orbital welding operations utilize a computer-controlled AMI Orbital Welding system, enabling repeatable, closed-loop weld cycles with precise control of parameters such as current, travel speed, and heat input. This system supports tubing diameters from 1/16″ to 2″, producing uniform weld profiles while minimizing operator variability and defect risk.

Resistance welding is further enhanced through the use of a Multi-Variable Adaptive Control® weld monitoring system, providing real-time feedback and control of weld energy. This capability allows for consistent weld quality across production runs and, in many cases, eliminates the need for destructive weld coupons while maintaining full process validation.
